A communication that in case of failure would lead to pessimism and misjudgment amongst members of different cultures.<br /> Present-day scholars have reiterated on the importance of teaching intercultural competence in foreign language teaching classes as the main place to transfer such skills. A number of Iranian researchers have also highlighted the significance of training the intercultural competence to the students of German Language at the University of Tehran. <br /> Adopting a critical approach, this article seeks to examine the theories of intercultural communication in order to shed light on the issue and to introduce a relevant educational plan based on those theories. We intend to present a practical strategy in order to design a new course for German language department at Tehran University to make a contribution to the field. جهان معاصر را دیگر نمی‌توان بدون ارتباطات گسترده بین‌فرهنگی تصور کرد. در میان این موقعیت‌های ارتباطی بین‌فرهنگی، توانش بین‌فرهنگی نقش غیرقابل‌انکاری در موفقیت یا شکست این ارتباطات ایفا می‌کند. ارتباطی که در صورت شکست می‌تواند موجب بدبینی و بروز قضاوت‌های نادرست میان اعضای فرهنگ‌های مختلف نسبت به‌یکدیگر شود. آموزش توانش بین‌فرهنگی یکی از مطالبات پراهمیت محققان عصر حاضر است که یکی از جایگاه‌های اصلی انتقال آن کلاس‌های آموزش زبان خارجی است. انتقال توانش بین‌فرهنگی به دانشجویان دورۀ کارشناسی رشتۀ زبان آلمانی دانشگاه تهران هنگام آموزش نیز از ضروریاتی است که برخی محققان ایرانی بر فقدان آن تاکید و در جستارهای خود اشارتی به آن داشته‌اند. این مقاله قصد دارد ضمن بررسی مبناهای نظری توانش بین‌فرهنگی با رویکردی انتقادی، شفافیت بیشتری در این زمینه ایجاد کرده و با معرفی طرح آموزشی مشخصی بر مبنای نظریه‌های بررسی شده، راهکاری کاربردی و قابل اتخاذ برای طراحی واحد درسی در رشتۀ زبان آلمانی دانشگاه تهران ارائه دهد، تا بدین‌وسیله گامی دیگر در تحقق این هدف برداشته شود. https://jflr.ut.ac.ir/article_68976_7a140fc583d6515a095f2b2338e6c9ec.pdf
