Among the different features, identity growth is one of the most complicated issues in the applied linguistics domain. The reason is that deciding to learn a second or foreign language brings about a great many changes in one’s value and motivation system which in turn may lead to significant identity changes and professional development. Therefore, the current research aimed at investigating an important need of Iranian EFL student-teachers in developing their possible self in light of “the possible-self theory” using quantitative and survey method. To this end, the English teachers’ possible-self questionnaire including three sections to measure ideal, ought to, and feared selves developed and validated by Karimi and Norouzi (2019) was distributed among 141 student-teachers using random sampling. The researchers made use of Friedman and Mann-whiney tests and the results showed that the participants’ vision of their ideal-self ranked first compared to their ought to-self and their feared-self vision which ranked second and third respectively. The findings of this study benefit EFL student-teachers, teacher educators, professors, curriculum developers and lay the ground for their possible self-perception.}, keywords = {EFL Student-teachers,Ideal self,Identity,Possible self,Teacher training system}, title_fa = {بررسی خود احتمالی دانشجو معلمان زبان انگلیسی در بافت تربیت معلم ایران}, abstract_fa = {از آن‌جا که نقش معلم در موفقیت زبان‌آموزان همیشه حائز اهمیت بوده‌ است، ویژگی‌های فردی آن‌ها از جنبه‌های مختلف مورد توجه قرار گرفته‌است. در بین ویژگی‌های مختلف، رشد هویت یکی از پیچیده‌ترین مسائل در حوزه‌ی زبان‌شناسی کاربردی است؛ زیرا یادگیری یک زبان خارجی تغییرات بسیاری در سیستم ارزشی و انگیزشی فرد ایجاد می‌کند که به نوبه‌ی خود ممکن است باعث تغییر هویت گردد. بنابراین، این تحقیق با روش‏ کمّی و به‌صورت پیمایشی یک نیاز مهم همچون درک احتمالی دانشجو‌ـ‌معلم‌های زبان انگلیسی در محیط تربیت‌معلم ایران را در پرتو نظریه‌ی خود احتمالی مورد بررسی قرار داد. بدین‌منظور پرسشنامه‌ی "درک احتمالی معلمان زبان انگلیسی از خویش" با طراحی و اعتبارسنجی کریمی و نوروزی (2019)،  بین 141 دانشجو‌ـ‌معلم با روش نمونه‌گیری تصادفی توزیع گردید. با استفاده از آزمون‌های آماری همچون آزمون ناپارامتری دوجمله‌ای و آزمون رتبه‌ای فریدمن نشان داده‌شد که بینش دانشجو‌ـ‌معلمان نسبت به خودآرمانی خویش از نظر مطلوبیت در رتبه اول، نسبت به آنچه باید باشند در رتبه دوم و نسبت به آنچه می‌ترسند باشند در رتبه سوم قرار گرفته است. نتایج این پژوهش برای دانشجو‌ـ‌معلمان، استادان و کارشناسان تربیت معلم مفید بوده و زمینه رشد درک خویش  و ارتقا حرفه‌ای را برای دانشجو‌ـ‌معلمان رشته زبان انگلیسی فراهم می‌کند.}, keywords_fa = {خود آرمانی,دانشجو-معلمان زبان انگلیسی,شناخت احتمالی از خویش,نظام تربیت معلم,هویت}, url = {https://jflr.ut.ac.ir/article_78584.html}, eprint = {https://jflr.ut.ac.ir/article_78584_fdb266f709ea6c4a50fc020c1086fb99.pdf} }
